Some Cool Uses for Tooth & Gum Rinse

I have found my Tooth & Gum Rinse handy for uses other than rinsing out my mouth.

In the heat of a Florida summer, it can get too hot for sleep. Sometimes, I’ve lain there in bed  roasting — even a fan doesn’t help. There are  some goodies I make that have handled this for me.

One is Air Freshener in Ice. A spray on your chest or feet, wow. You must avoid your eye area, though.  Spraying into the air helps — it is wonderful to breathe in.

Another which I’ve used to cool myself down is Tooth & Gum Rinse. I’d not use the Ice Air Freshener on my face, not at all, but Tooth & Gum Rinse, especially slightly diluted, has done the trick comfortably. And it’s close at hand in the bathroom, so I don’t wake up more searching for it.

The way I apply the rinse is either to pour a little bit of it onto a cotton pad (organic cotton balls or pads, since cotton crops are heavily pesticide-sprayed), add a teeny bit of purified water (if it is too strong and you wish to dilute it) and I wipe my forehead, the back of my neck, chest, bottom of my feet and toes, underarms, arms, legs, etc., but obviously not private areas or right near the eyes.

If you wet down any area that now may get closed such as the inside of your elbow, blow on it to dry it. We parents know this from caring for babies: leaving folded places wet is not a good idea, even if the liquid is antibacterial. Fan or blow places like that dry.

Mint Breath Spray also does well for this. Spray some on a bit of cotton or face cloth, dilute somewhat if you like and wipe yourself down. I like Tooth & Gum Rinse better for this, though, especially because it’s so easily located — I don’t need to dig through my purse.

With this, I’m back asleep before the cool sensation wears off. I’ve even applied Tooth & Gum Rinse to my entire face, other than close to my eyes (mint is not good in the eyes, so don’t get anywhere near them). The rinse contains not just cooling plants but  extracts reputed to be useful for immune system support, breathing, digestion, etc.. For me Tooth & Gum Rinse isn’t just a remedy for “it’s too hot!” –applied to the body like this, it gives what to me is an overall feeling of well-being, no doubt from the essential oils and herbal extracts. My whole body just goes, “Wooooo, yeah.”

I sometimes apply the rinse, at any time of day such as morning, to the bottom of my feet. Just a little bit does it. For a longer-lasting and dry result, there is Tootsiewootsers™ Foot Powder in Cooling which is heaven in a pair of Uggs or any socks or shoes. (Use Warming foot powder in the wintertime.)

Tooth & Gum Rinse is also great to apply to bug bites, little cuts and nicks. It makes a wonderful boo-boo cleanse, helps turn off itching and painful sensations.

And not to be gross or crude, but parasites and cleanses are a part of life, so bear with me here. Sometimes when one has or is expelling parasites or is sensitive there for whatever reason, one’s tush may feel itchy. That’s about as delicately as I can put it. Wiping the heinie with Tooth & Gum Rinse may provide relief from the itch and may cool the area down. You may find this more comfortable if you dilute the rinse a little bit. It is a bit intense for applying “straight” in that part of the body. Keep the bit of TP or cotton pad carefully away from the front of your body down there, right? where mint, etc., would not feel comfortable.

Let me know how these ideas work for you and please share your own.
