Description
I named my Eau de Cologne No. 1054 (the number of our first facility address) similarly to a long-famous Eau de Cologne (in fact, the first) called No. 4711, giving their address number in Cologne, Germany (from which the word, “cologne,” derives). No. 4711 was Ludwig van Beethoven’s signature scent — a detail from history for us music-lovers.
I love 4711 so I fashioned a cologne to be reminiscent of it but completely natural and animal ingredient-free (which 4711 is no longer, I warrant).
You’ll find in it scents of bergamot, flowers and herbs, uplifting, refreshing, yet no less intriguing and sensual. 4711 is safe as an icon — 1054 does not duplicate it (I wasnt after that) but is inspired by it.
I really proud of it – love it so much! And what I also enjoy about it is that No. 1054 smells great on both men and women! It’s not non-descript, in the boring middle. It is not too feminine for a man nor too masculine for a woman – it just seems to work for anyone.
Although this is named a cologne, as scents for men are not generally called “perfume,” its strength is the same as all my perfumes, which has a high (albeit safe) percentage of natural fragrant essences relative to the carrier water-alcohol mix or oil – in other words, this is not of the lower strength of an eau de cologne; it is of perfume strength (considerably stronger).
Allow No. 1054, as any of my aromatherapeutic perfumes and colognes, to mix with your body chemistry for a few minutes, then take in the scent. And let me know how you like it!
