Foundation Cream

What is so special about this foundation (and rouge and eye colors), aside from the look and feel of it, is what it is lacking. There are no questionable ingredients, no petro-chemicals, no synthetic fragrances ? the colors derives from natural, cosmetic-grade minerals: oxides, ultramarines and mica.

A word about "natural mineral make-up." There is no such thing as 100% natural mineral make-up colorants. To qualify as truly 100% natural, make-up would have to be made of plants like berries and spinach. Though I am likely to continue fooling around with formulating using such plants, they can stain skin and clothes. So we use iron oxides, ultramarines and titanium dioxide. These are naturally occuring minerals cleaned in a laboratory to render them safe for cosmetic use. The cleaning process is a good thing since when mined they contain toxic heavy metals the likes of mercury and lead. What we use is safe for your skin, pure minerals.

Have a look at the list of ingredients I use. In addition to the minerals, our foundation powder contains small amounts of corn starch, tapioca starch, arrowroot and plain (not as shiny) mica. That's all! The cream ingredients are printed on the jar, do read them. The cream is anti-oxidant, nourishing, protective and great for even sensitive skin.

We should refuse to put on our faces for the sake of looks, anything that compromises our health. That is our purpose in bringing you these mineral cosmetics.

Our pure mineral make-up may look fabulous, but it looks even better when the skin underneath is in beautiful healthy condition. We recommend using our natural mineral cosmetics in conjunction with our line of natural skin care products.
