Foundations may be used as a powder alone or blended fresh for each use with our soothing, nourishing, antioxidant base cream for a variable coverage.
Both powder alone and powder in Foundation Cream allow you to control coverage easily. Achieve the lightest tint (make your own tinted moisturizer!) or, as you mix more powder into the cream, go from light to medium to heavy — even vary the mix for different parts of your face. It's up to you. Some days, for example when the weather is more moist and all you feel like is a bit of powder, a light whisking will do the trick. Why have such freedom? Why not?! Indoor and outdoor lighting, weather, mood, outfit or occasion may find you applying more or less and using the product as a powder or as a cream. It's any way you want it.
We feel that the surest way to get your color right is to order powder samples. You can then discover what works best for you before purchasing the normal size. Samples cost $1.50 each* and you'll have enough to experiment with. We'll send you only one sample of any one color and as many different colors as you wish to try, of course. We suggest also that you get a sample of the cream to mix into.

What is so special about this foundation (and rouge and eye colors), aside from the look and feel of it, is what it is lacking. Order a sample of the Foundation Cream for Oily Skin, if your skin is not normal or day, to try with the mineral foundation powders, since different effects can be created with the mineral powder mixed in cream than with only powder. After you experiment with your samples and find the proper color, make your order of the full sizes.
